As Memphis searches for a replacement for Ryan Silverfield, the Tigers’ staff is down another member. We at 4 Star Sports Media have learned that Tim Cramsey will join Silverfield in Fayetteville. Cramsey, who has served as the Memphis offensive coordinator since 2022, will join Scott Gasper on the new staff for Arkansas from the Tigers as Memphis prepares for its upcoming bowl game.Â
We will have more on this and other moves from staff and players as they happen. This news, on December 3rd, will be small compared to the mass exodus that could take place once a new head coach is named for the Tigers. Once this happens, the portal window for the current roster will officially open.

Some players have decided not to wait until January 2nd, as Tigers quarterback Arrington Maiden announced his decision to enter. With his entry, Memphis now has two players at the position, as Brendon Lewis and AJ Hill remain for the upcoming bowl game.Â
Even with the announcement of Reggie Howard as the interim head coach, we saw a large number of players from the recruiting class sign on early signing day. What once was a massive spectacle has become overshadowed by the transfer portal, coaching moves, and a schedule that is far from over. As we maneuver within a calendar that needs change, yet the power brokers wear blinders for a reason. In the end, Cramsey did the same as Silverfield, made a business decision for their families. Who can blame them? We certainly do not.Â

Now, Memphis will look to continue the coaching carousel cycle as it will have another staff hole to fill. This will be a seemingly simple hole to fill once a new coach is hired. Who will be next to leave? Could we have had a new head coach named before? We are eagerly awaiting.
