St. Louis to Host UFL Championship Game Amid Rising Excitement

The United Football League (UFL) has officially announced The Dome at America’s Center, the electrifying home of the St. Louis Battlehawks, as the venue for the 2024 UFL Championship Game slated for June 16, 2024. The selection not only highlights the impressive facility but also the vibrant community that has consistently shown robust support for spring football.

UFL President and CEO Russ Brandon expressed his confidence in the city’s capacity to host the league’s flagship event. “Selecting the championship game location goes beyond the stadium to encompass the community and the fanbase that supports it. St. Louis has displayed a passionate embrace of spring football, making it the ideal choice for our Championship,” Brandon stated.

St Louis Mayor Tishaura O. Jones mirrored the excitement, “St. Louisans are ready to welcome the UFL championship game and the influx of fans it will bring. We’re eager to show the nation that ‘Kaw is the law’ in our city.

Kitty Ratcliffe, President of Explore St. Louis, added, “With the Battlehawks setting attendance records, we are thrilled to host the UFL Championship. The Dome and the city are poised to provide a memorable experience for all.”

The UFL season, comprising 10 regular season games among eight teams and two conference playoffs, culminates in the championship face-off. Memories of last year’s thrilling XFL and USFL Championship games promise an even more electrifying UFL Championship, according to UFL Executive Vice President of Football Operations, Daryl Johnston. “The energy that St. Louis fans bring will undoubtedly create an unparalleled atmosphere for the UFL Championship game,” Johnston said.

Battlehawks’ Head Coach Anthony Becht conveyed the team’s determination and the heightened anticipation of playing in front of a home crowd. “Having our fans cheer us on during the Championship would be incredible. While it adds pressure, our goal remains unchanged – to emerge victorious.

The Battlehawks led the XFL in attendance with 175,121 fans across five home games in 2023, a testament to the city’s love for the game. With The Dome’s vast 67,000 seating capacity and history of hosting monumental events, from NCAA finals to superstar concerts, it’s geared up to offer an unforgettable game day experience.

Priority ticket access will be given to UFL team season ticket members, with further details on the UFL Championship Game to be disclosed in the future. As teams gear up and fans’ anticipation builds, St. Louis awaits the chance to showcase their spirit and hospitality on a grand stage.
