UFL Brings Peace To League With CBA Signing
There is now some peace in the UFL.

The league announced on Monday that a new Collective Bargaining Agreement has been signed through the 2026 season with the UFL Player Association. The fresh agreement not only increases salaries but also provides full-year health insurance for the league’s players.
The league, which has struggled to fill stands, is hopeful this agreement will ease the stress of the unknowns that have come with many spring leagues throughout history.
UFL President and CEO Russ Brandon announced the news when he stated, “We have reached a Collective Bargaining Agreement with the UFPA.”. This is a very important step in the hopeful longevity of the league as the agreement should halt any work stoppage or any other labor laws the league may encounter. Brandon would continue by saying, “We look forward to continuing to work with our players to grow professional spring football at the UFL.”
While the climb to remain a relevant league is an uphill one, the UFL is also tasked with keeping fans engaged throughout the regular and off-season. We mentioned the struggles of attendance, yet this is not new to this season. Last season, the league also dealt with this challenge.
Many fans across some of the team’s cities seem to take offense to the fact that the teams now reside in Fort. Worth and then travel close to the games. While we understand this takes from the “Home Team” feel, it is now hard to support these teams and players. At the end of the day, if there is no league, there are no players. Fans should support this league with more passion, in our opinion.

While it may not be the easiest to watch football in “Not football season”, these players are all working for a chance to make plays, no matter when the games are played. Monday’s agreement being signed proves the league is working to get set up for long-term success; fans should also get on board.
As the league enters week 7, the games are heating as the playoff season approaches. The week starts, on Friday May 9th, the DC Defenders travel to San Antonio to battle the Brahmas.

We will have more on this agreement and this week’s slate of games soon.
