Jac Caglianone is a Royal
As of June 1st, we were not quite expecting to type this sentence, but based on his play in the minors, we are not shocked. The news was first broken by Jeff Passan as writers for the Royals such as Anne Rogers retweeted {If we still call it that} on her social media page.
With this, we now look at what Jac has been able to accomplish in less than a year at the professional level. We start with his invite to Spring Training by the Royals in what was a move that created quite the stir amongst fans across Major League Baseball.
To start the season, Jac was stationed in Springdale, Arkansas, and the Northwest Arkansas Naturals, the Double-A affiliate. We at 4 Star Sports Media cover the Naturals extensively and were in the press box for multiple games played in Arvest Ballpark. With this, we witnessed the aura around the number one prospect for Kansas City. Being able to witness the beginning of this journey was special, and we understand the magnitude of what took place.

In what was a short stay in Springdale, we saw Jac be promoted to Triple-A and the Omaha Storm Chasers, where the domination at the plate continued. Not only this, but the patience from the former Florida Gator began to shine as his chase rate dropped significantly. The power-hitting lefty was drafted as a two-way player who was mainly positioned at first base.
Near the end of his time in the NWA, we saw Caglianone shift to the outfield as he played games in right and left field. While in Omaha, this trend continued as we are now aware that he will be positioned more in the outfield at the MLB level.
The move to Kansas City does not come as a surprise, looking deeper into his stats, as the now Royal dominated the MiLB and leveled up with ease. To further this point, in his 50 games played in 2025, Caglianone has averaged a .322 average with 9 doubles, 15 home runs, and 56 RBIs in his 199 plate appearances.

When will we see Caglianone? According to reports from Rogers and others, he will be in St. Louis for the upcoming series against the Cardinals.
We will be watching closely.
