At least one Arkansas team found a way to beat the Dawgs this weekend. While the football Razorbacks struggled against Georgia on Saturday, Arkansas’ Division II hockey club provided a much different result at the Jones Center in Springdale. The Razorbacks swept Georgia in their second home series of the 2026 season, earning a 7–2 win Thursday before returning Friday for a 4–1 victory.
The two-game sweep gave Arkansas fans a timely bright spot: hockey beat the Dawgs.
Arkansas did not simply pull out a pair of close wins. The Razorbacks controlled the weekend from the first puck drop, outscoring Georgia 11–3 across the two contests and using their home-ice advantage to set the tone.
Thursday’s opener delivered the offensive headline. The Razorbacks came out with energy, found the net seven times, and turned the game into a comfortable 7–2 victory. Georgia managed two goals, but it never found a way to match Arkansas’ pace or consistently slow down the Razorbacks’ attack.

Actually, it supplied two. Arkansas beat Georgia 7–2 on Thursday. It followed with a 4–1 win Friday. The Razorbacks outscored the Ice Dawgs 11–3 and completed a home-series sweep.
